Memorable Place.

Once a hunting reserve for aristocrats, Casa La Rad today is dedicated to vineyards, forests ... and silence.
Nestled in the foothills of the Iberian Massif, we cultivate old vines at high altitudes to produce estate-grown wines that express, with precision, the character and natural essence of this place.
The estate be explored from the winery, or through a limited number of guided tours.
Breath the air

Biodiversity, off the beaten path

You arrive at the edge of the forest.

The landscape opens out from the vineyard. The air feels different—fresher, more vivid.

Old vines grow here among ancient stones, rooted in a quieter rhythm.

And almost without thinking, a question arises.

What kind of wines come from a place like this?

Our terroir

Altitude. Terrain. Character.

Great wines are not the result of a single decision. They emerge from a balance between place and nature.

At Casa La Rad, altitude, orientation, and climate converge to define our true terroir.

Here, dramatic landscape is not just a setting. It is the conception of our wines.

WINE

A place at the table…

Subtle. Precise. Born from the earth.

Wines that do not seek to dominate, but reveal themselves with quiet clarity.

Elegance without artifice.
Expression without excess.

Wines like these are best understood at the estate.

Vision

Bárbara Palacios, winemaker

Bárbara Palacios against the natural backdrop of the vineyard at Casa La Rad, reflecting her connection to the place and the terroir

Bárbara Palacios always knew that her path would take her far — and yet, sooner or later, bring her back again.

After years of working with wineries in different parts of the world, her personal vision of wine was refined by experience, but also through distance.

As Casa La Rad winemaker, her return to Rioja has revealed a deeper meaning.

Here, amidst landscapes that are part of her own family history, she finds herself in a place that aligns naturally with her understanding of viticulture: respect for place, precision in detail, and the constant search for balance.

A place where vines, vision, and the passage of time converge.
